The Nostalgia Vortex Approaches!
My generation is now firmly within one of the most powerful groups in America - the 18-34 demographic. It is the reason why the teen movies from the 80’s kept getting remade well into the early 2000’s.
We finally get power, and what is my generation’s first order of business?

I’m no hater. In fact, I probably have more nostalgia for these shows, considering I didn’t do much else in the 90’s. My problem, is the potential for doom.

The issue at hand is a Nostalgia Vortex. Here is an example for maximum understanding:
1. Post a press release/ news article linking to a press release/blog post linking to a news article linking to a press release/tweet linking to a blog post linking to a news article linking to a press release about “The 90’s Are All That”
2. Wait for avalanche of likes/+1/@replies/comments to subside. You will find comments like “(Show I watched when I was young and didn’t know better) is so much better than the (shows I have heard of, but do not have nostalgia for because I was much older and angsty when they came out recently during my late teens/early 20’s).
3. The people who commented rush to Youtube.com and Wikipedia.com in an attempt to relive youth. This will not work, but like tylenol, takes the pain away for a bit
Note: If a person posts a link to tvtropes.org, DO NOT CLICK. It is a spiral of unlimited nostalgia and an example of what many can accomplish with little better to do.
